♪ [Spoken, in English] Cima is from the Cimarrón.
The Cimarrón was the maroons from Cuba.
In the slave time, most of them, they go out to the mountains and they start to create small civilizations; a small community there with different slaves that escaped.
All the flavors was for the transculturation between the slaves and the people leaving Cuba in that moment and that union bring the Criollo.
For me the Cimarrón is really important in the Afro-Cuban concept.
It█s that type of thing that, everybody goes left, I go right.
And Funk because I love funk and I also love the story of Afro-American music and especially the funk parts.
It changed everything in the dancable enviornment and get really close with the Afro-Cuban sound.
