Local Radio Station Knows Their Audience

Clip: Special | 3m 7sVideo has Closed Captions

WRDN doesn’t just exist on the radio waves in Pepin County.

WRDN in Pepin County is a highly visible small business on the main street of Durand, the county seat. Reflected in the radio studio’s windows are boarded up retail stores across the way providing evidence of the challenges many rural towns face. The station, branded “Reel Country” with a cowboy hat-toting fish mascot named Gil, keeps the lights on and transmitter going by knowing its audience.
