Childhood traumatic stress often leads to serious health issues later in life. They can also result in more incarceration, depression and substance abuse. But those changes don’t have to be permanent. So what are adverse childhood experiences? And, how are we as a community coming to better understand the impact of childhood trauma and providing resources to cope with the problem?
